Babs Adewumi is an Assistant Vice President of Funding and Securitization at Peoples Group. He leads strategic initiatives across structured finance, asset-backed transactions, capital markets, loan syndication, and liquidity and capital optimization, with a specialized focus on CMHC securitization programs. Babs oversees the execution of securitization transactions under Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) programs, including the National Housing Act Mortgage-Backed Securities (NHA MBS) and Canada Mortgage Bonds (CMB). His leadership ensures compliance with regulatory frameworks while maximizing investor engagement, funding efficiency, and providing support for affordable housing initiatives.
Prior to this role, Babs held senior positions in treasury and capital markets, where he spearheaded initiatives in balance sheet management, funding diversification, and Treasury operations. With over 15 years of experience in financial markets, Babs is recognized for delivering innovative funding solutions that enhance liquidity, optimize capital structure, and support sustainable growth. Throughout his career, Babs has managed relationships with dealers, rating agencies, and underwriters, and driven funding diversification strategies.
Babs is a CPA and CFA Institute Charterholder. He also holds a BSc in Applied Accounting, MBA, and DBA degrees from Oxford Brookes University (UK), Warwick Business School (UK), and California Intercontinental University (USA), respectively. Babs is a frequent contributor to thought leadership forums on structured finance and funding innovation.
Mark Hall is the Director of Treasury for both Alterna Savings and Credit Union Limited and CS Alterna Bank. In his role, he is responsible for all activities related to mortgage funding and securitization programs. He is also responsible for overseeing the Treasury groups in managing liquidity and other Treasury related risks. Mr. Hall is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
Kyle Howard is the Director of Securitization for Community Trust Company, where he has worked since 2015, holding various positions across Risk Management, Treasury, and Securitization. In his current role, he is responsible for all wholesale funding and mortgage trading programs. Kyle holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Brock University, a Financial Risk Managers designation, and is a CFA charterholder.

Neill McDonald is the Director & Head of Mortgage Funding at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets. He’s currently responsible for mortgage aggregation including CMB, NHA MBS, RMBS, ABCP and other related products. He joined the Canadian Securitization team in 2010 and remains actively involved in the structuring and execution of securitization transactions across a variety of asset classes. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from University of Waterloo and is a CFA Charterholder
Gaylen Silva, as Head, Securitization Finance and Operations, Corporate Treasury, Bank of Montreal (BMO), leads the team that is responsible for the external reporting, accounting and other operations in support of securitization of the bank’s own assets. BMO’s securitization programs include notes backed by mortgages, homeowner lines of credit, credit cards, auto loans and transportation finance loans. Gaylen also works on various projects including process automation, optimizing securitization programs in partnership with the Corporate Funding team and people leader training. She has over 25 years of finance experience at BMO, including over 5 years in asset securitization and over 5 years supporting the P&BB business. Gaylen has been an active member of the Mortgage-Backed Securities Issuer Association (MBSIA), leading the E-signature and Digitization Working Group.
Jude Shawera,

Jude Shawera, as Director, Asset Securitization, Corporate Treasury, Royal Bank of Canada, is responsible for the structuring and execution of the securitization of the bank’s own assets. He also works on various projects including recently leading Corporate Treasury’s LIBOR transition. Jude has over 20 years of treasury experience including over 15 years in asset securitization. In his current assignment, the focus is on the bank’s mortgage and credit card securitization programs. Jude has prior experience in both public and private auto loan, auto lease, and dealer floorplan securitizations while responsible for the Canadian securitization programs of Ally Credit Canada Limited, formerly GMAC of Canada, Limited. Jude has been active in multiple industry working groups and is currently serving as chair of the Mortgage-Backed Securities Issuer Association (MBSIA).
Francis Robillard
